I'll always come back to a good old landscape image. Each texture so fun to paint. 😁 New acrylic on canvas of Lookout Hike. The heavens declare the glory of God. Psalm 19

This piece represents redemption. The hand reaches up as the Holy Spirit comes down, the flowers that thrive in the desert, the mustard seed plant, the patches sewed in place- it all signals a redemptive new life in Christ. There were many verses that were reflected on as I painted this: John 16:20 Your sorrow will turn to joy. Lamentations 3:25 The Lord is good to those who wait for him, to the souls who seek him. Ezekiel 37:12 Thus says the Lord God: Behold, I will open your graves and raise you from your graves, O my people.

This watercolor of Linville Falls is resting nicely in a floater frame. 🌿 A reminder of Romans 1:20, For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities – his eternal power and divine nature -have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.

"As long as Moses held up his hands, the Israelites were winning, but whenever he lowered his hands, the Amalekites were winning. When Moses' hands grew tired, they took a stone and put it under him and he sat on it. Aaron and Hur held his hands up-one on one side and one on the other-so that his hands remained steady until sunset." This acrylic is a reflection of Exodus 17, community, surrender, worship, and the power of God.
